Holiday home Lanzarote
// An oasis in the middle of the city
The apartment is located in a typical Canarian house, which was elaborately renovated and lovingly modernized following plans by the architect Alexander Bernjus. The house is located in the trendy ‘Charco de San Ginés’. This neighborhood around the picturesque fishing harbor has developed in recent years into an attractive boardwalk, with many bars, cafes and restaurants.
The apartment consists of a spacious bedroom, bathroom with shower, a kitchen with dining area and of course has access to the heart of the house: the idyllic patio. Here you can sit all year round, with the mild climate of the Canary Islands, sheltered from the wind under the open sky, rest after the excursions over the island, enjoy home-cooked meals or round off the evening with a glass of wine.

The apartment is spread over two floors. On the lower level is the living room and kitchen with large dining area. Both rooms have a sliding glass door to the heart of the house: the idyllic patio.
On the upper level, there is a spacious bedroom, the bathroom and a roof terrace. On a mezzanine level, there is still access to the private garden. Here you can sit all year round, with the mild climate of the Canary Islands, sheltered from the wind under the open sky, rest after the excursions over the island, enjoy home-cooked meals or round off the evening with a glass of wine.
The Neighborhood
The apartment is located in a small, quiet street of Arrecife, the capital of the island. Just a two-minute walk away is the Charco de San Ginés, a picturesque saltwater lagoon with small fishing boats, along the promenade lined with restaurants, cafes and bars with sunny terraces.
The pedestrian area with numerous shops located right on the edge of the fishing port (10 minute away). The city beach ‘Playa del Reducto’ is about 20 minutes away.
There are several small grocery stores around the corner of the apartment and two large supermarkets 500 meters away.
Arrecife is a good starting point for exploring the island. In less than an hour you can reach all the destinations on the island – from the Papagayo beaches in the south to the Mirador del Rio in the north. The airport is about 15 minutes away by car.

The Host
Hola, I am Oliver
In 2015 I have fulfilled a dream and bought a house in Lanzarote. Drawing from my love for architecture and design I have renovated and personally furnished and decorated it. Since then I have been commuting back and forth between my two residences, Berlin and Arrecife.
When traveling, I prefer to explore places like a local rather than a tourist, therefor I would like to offer this same opportunity to my guests at El Patio del Charco: the feeling of being at home.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at contact@elpatiodelcharco.com.
